Will getting a bad credit loan to pay off some credit cards look bad on my credit history? Does it show up as just a new account when my report is checked? If it does have an adverse effect, is it worse than being extremely behind on my credit cards? I know the interest rates are very high, but thats alright with me.
Also, any suggestions where to get a bad credit loan? I guess it would be a personal loan.

There is no distinct indication of a "bad credit" loan on a report. If you pay on time then it good. If you're late then it's bad. Sometimes the industry code can be used if the company is scoring the data themselves. We used to do this when I worked for a major retailer evaluating credit. The theory was that if you were using a "loan company" like Household Finance or Beneficial Finance, instead of a bank, it must be that you got turned down by your local banks. On of the people on our accounts receivable team flipped out when she heard this, because she had bought some dishes and the store salesman had convinced her to finance them through the store, rather than her bank card, which turned out to be placed with HFC. Oh, well. It's more of a guideline rather than a rule.

If the credit is so bad and you are extremely behind you will not be able to get a loan without a co-signor.
Beware of the jackasses who post the spam loan offers. They want YOUR money they do not want to actually lend you money after they get your money.

Banks only loan to folks with good credit.

My uncle asked me this recently, and I couldn't offer any advice. The only bad credit loan companies I know about are the payday and car title lenders.
Check out prosper.com, it is exactly for that sort of thing and seems to be a better alternative to the payday and title loans

I have recently fallen into a payday loan trap and I am desperately trying to get out of this hole I have dug for myself. I had bad credit and have been turned down for loans from banks as well as other online lenders. I have a stable job and I am able to pay back the loan each month. I need at least $5000 and I am curious if anyone has any legitimate answers and/or soultions to this question. I have spent months trying to figure this out and cannot get any assistance.
Stay away from those who are hunting for people like you on these pages and give you their name and email! Some may be legit, but I'd bet a lot of them are scams. Don't give out any of your personal information to them. Stick with someone local or someone you can trust. If you have a stable employer - check with them. Some companies will give out loans to their employees and deduct the payments right out of their checks.

I doubt that anyone is going to give you an unsecured loan for $10,000 with your credit score but I would suggest that you apply at your bank or credit union. If they turn you down they most likely can suggest an alternative. You will be paying a high interest rate because you are a default risk. Is there any alternative to borrowing this large of an amount?

I want to apply for a loan but have bad credit due to my ex partner, i have looked around, quite a lot of companies ask for an application fee/transfer fee and i do not have that. Can anyone suggest anything else?
You should try a local credit union, they are usually more apt to help someone in your situation.

But one warning... if you respond to any online bank offer that requires you to pay an upfront fee for a loan... it is a scam.
It is actually illegal to charge an upfront fee or a downpayment on a promised Loan. Any fees and charges are attached to the amount you finance and you will pay those fees with your interest on the loan.
So... do not fall for the scammer that offered you a loan as long you pay them a downpayment or a fee for the loan processing costs.
They will take your money and you will never see it again and of course you will never get the loan.

I posted a question about a bad credit loan and received several reponses. I followed through and applied for one who now says they did not get the deposit required. I do not have more to send and am in desperate need. Please someone honest help me today. I am looking for verification of legitimate practice please. If you are from Nigeria do not bother. I would like information that I can verify in the USA please. No offense to other countries but, laws here can protect me and obviously my desperation caused me to be involved with some very dishonest people.
